Richard J. Swift

Managing Partner

Prior to joining Point Capital, Mr. Swift co-founded Stadia Capital Management in December 2000. Mr. Swift was a Portfolio Manager for Stadia, an investment partnership with over $1.1 billion in partner’s equity and 25 employees at its height.  Stadia’s funds invested predominantly in equities and derivatives on a global basis.  Mr. Swift negotiated and closed a partnership with FrontPoint/Morgan Stanley in May of 2007 whereby he became a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley.  Prior to founding Stadia, Mr. Swift was Vice President for Investments with Red Coat Capital Management, L.L.C. with specific coverage responsibility for the consumer discretionary, consumer staples, education and business service sectors.  From October 1996 to December 1997, Mr. Swift was a Financial Analyst with Merrill Lynch & Co. in the Consumer Banking Group of the Investment Banking Division.  At Merrill, Mr. Swift participated on advisory teams which structured and executed a full range of financial transactions for consumer-facing companies.  Before joining Merrill, Mr. Swift served as a commissioned officer in the United States Army while stationed in Germany and earned the Airborne qualification.  Mr. Swift graduated from the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y in 1994 with a B.S.E. in Economics and a concentration in Systems Engineering, and currently serves as the elected Vice President of his class. Mr. Swift earned a M.B.A. in Finance from New York University in 2004.  Mr. Swift resides in New Vernon, NJ.
